VICTOR L. LOVE (Founder/Master Instructor)
Victor Love founded Evolv Atlanta Acting Studio to share his passion for the craft and inspire others to embrace their own journeys of growth and transformation. After decades of success on stage and screen, he realized his greatest fulfillment came from helping others achieve their dreams—watching actors take risks, fail forward, and discover their authentic voices.
For Victor, Evolv is more than a studio; it’s a purpose-driven space where he can give back, foster a community of fearless artists, and ground himself in a mission that extends beyond his work in film, screen and theater.
A dedicated member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA, Love’s recent film projects include Red All Over and The Olive Branch, starring the late Louis Gossett Jr. As the Managing Director and Master Instructor at EVOLV ATLANTA ACTING studio in Atlanta, he teaches acting and scene study for both stage and film. On set, he coaches his students, who have gone on to significant professional achievements, including Janelle Monáe in the Academy Award-winning films Moonlight and Hidden Figures.
Victor’s recent work includes a recurring role on Red Band Society, a series regular in an Adult Swim pilot, and guest-starring on Manhunt, Dream King, The Good Lord Bird, A Life Unwritten, and The Resident on FOX TV. Later this season, he’ll appear in a guest star role on NBC’s Found.
Originally from Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, Love discovered his passion for acting early on. With over 30 years of experience as an actor before founding EVOLV ATLANTA, he is well-versed in the entertainment industry. Love earned his AA at the prestigious Los Angeles Theater Academy and later completed his MFA at the Professional Actor’s Training Program, then located in Milwaukee. He trained extensively with renowned mentors, including Bill Esper in the Meisner Technique in New York, Ivana Chubbuck in Los Angeles, and Tadashi Suzuki in Japan. His speech training was guided by the legendary Edith Skinner and Timothy Monich, and he honed his classical skills at Shakespeare & Company.
Love first gained international recognition for his debut role as Bigger Thomas in the 1987 film adaptation of Richard Wright’s Native Son, alongside co-stars Oprah Winfrey, Geraldine Page, Matt Dillon, and Elizabeth McGovern. His performance earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor. He went on to appear in numerous film and TV projects, including It’s My Party, Gang Related, Velocity Trap, The Hank Gathers Story, Jaded, Mr. Payback, Heaven is a Playground, Miami Vice, A Different World, LA Law, Babylon 5, The West Wing, and many more.
